This part of my website will outline some of my favorite/most important projects in fulfillment of the Graduate Certificate in Digital Humanities at UVa. Does the background, or my "Flying Toasters" screensaver replication on p5.js, count?

Completed Projects

Didn't think I would be doing other things besides a master's degree, but I'm glad the Graduate Certificate taught and showed me a lot more :))

With a black background, multiple toasters with wings are slowly flying from right to left. There are also pieces of flying toast that are going in the same direction, but at a more brisk pace.

Jed, a man with short, black hair with terra-cotta colored skin with a mustache and beard, looks into the camera on his screen. The background of the room has a yellow filter, and includes a microphone peering from the top right corner, dark and light-colored blankets somewhat jumbled together, and various artworks on the wall. Jed is also wearing a set of headphones and a sweater. In the top left corner, there is a big red circle and the word "LIVE" in all caps. Underneath him are messages from fellow viewers, and buttons that allow him to stay online, go offline, or to start playing music in the background.

The slide shows the title in white and orange text: "DH 8991: Where does Twitch (+ gaming) fit in?" Underneath that states "Jed Baul, University of Virginia." On the right hand side, there is a man sitting in a luxurious gaming chair in front of two monitors connected to his gaming PC, which sits on the ground besides a collection of action figures. Purple lightning strikes, lots of X's, circles, and triangles are scattered throughout the slide.

At the top of the image states, "DH@UVA IS WORTH INVESTING IN, JED BAUL + RENNIE MAPP, DH@UVA: SUMMER 2023." Underneath it are multiple sections of the report, stating more details regarding the introduction, main objective, and more.

On top of a gold background, collages of various people, objects, and artwork in a magazine collage-style pattern are compacted together. In the middle is the word "LOSERS."
